FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

Organized by a team of EducationUSA Advisers, the Benelux College Fair is a virtual college fair for students in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. This free event provides high school students and their families with unparalleled access to representatives from over 35 U.S. colleges and universities in order to learn about higher education opportunities in the United States.

Who should attend the Benelux College Fair?

We welcome students of all ages as well as their parents, siblings, teachers, and counselors! Our primary audience is secondary school students, including those in their last year of studies (“seniors”) who are preparing to submit applications to U.S. universities as well as younger students who are beginning to consider their post-secondary school options. Most of the representatives represent undergraduate programs, but can also answer basic questions about graduate enrollment at their institutions.

Who will I meet?

By attending the Benelux College Fair, you will have the chance to meet one-on-one with representatives from colleges and universities in the USA and American-accredited universities in Europe. You can learn about their institutions and ask them any questions you have about the university admissions process!

How will the fair be organized?

The event will take place on a virtual platform called Hopin. Throughout the event, you’ll be free to visit the virtual booths of our 38 participating colleges and universities. You can also choose to attend one of several information sessions throughout the evening to learn more about a particular topic, like writing a personal statement or applying for financial aid.

What happened to the in-person fair I attended in the past?

Due to the continuing public health threat posed by COVID-19, EducationUSA Advisers made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person college fairs in autumn 2021. We hope that Brussels College Night, Luxembourg College Night, and the Amsterdam Ivy Circle College Fair can safely resume next year!

FOR REPRESENTATIVES

The Benelux College Fair is your one-stop shop for recruitment in the Low Countries! This unique virtual fair is an opportunity for American colleges and universities to meet prospective students from Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.

Who will I meet?

We expect the Benelux Virtual College Fair to attract a mix of secondary school students and parents from across the region, including from the many international schools around our capital cities. Students in this region who are interested in pursuing undergraduate studies in an English-speaking country are familiar with the United States and the high quality education available at American colleges and universities.

How will the fair be organized?

The Benelux Virtual College Fair will be hosted by Hopin. This user-friendly virtual event management platform, which has already been used by EducationUSA Advisers in Spain and the United Kingdom, will allow representatives from participating institutions to set up booths, network, and engage with students and parents in a manner resembling an in-person recruitment event. The institutional registration fee of $350 (or 300 EUR) for colleges and universities and $450 (or 400 EUR) for non-university institutions covers the cost of the platform and allows us to offer free participation in the event to students and parents.

Is the number of participating universities limited?

Yes! In order to ensure the quality of the event for both university representatives and prospective students, we will be limiting the number of participating institutions. Given the limited number of institutions, please note that your registration is not final until you receive a confirmation email and invoice from EducationUSA. If you are unable to join us this year, we hope that you’ll sign up and visit us in person in 2022!
